Bleakhold

Features

Everything Bleakhold adds on top of Wrath of the Lich King 3.3.5a.

The Dungeon Journey

Quest normally to level 10 or 15, then take a run from the Dungeon Board in any hub. Every dungeon scales to your group, so you can level from 10 to 80 without leaving instances.

  • Ten dungeons in six chapters: the Deadmines, Shadowfang Keep, the four wings of the Scarlet Monastery, both sides of Stratholme, Hellfire Ramparts and Utgarde Keep. Clearing a chapter on Normal opens the next.
  • Four tiers: Normal, Veteran, Elite and Nightmare. Score 70 percent on a tier to unlock the one above it.
  • Solo to five players: solo runs have fewer adds and simpler fights; full groups face extra boss abilities and earn more Shards.
  • Scoring: bosses killed, time against the target, deaths and side objectives such as a rare kill or a flawless final boss.
  • The board: offers rotate every three hours. Start a run right away, or open a two-minute queue that players within five levels of you can join.
  • The Journey Forge: spend Dungeon Shards and gathered materials to craft, upgrade and salvage gear made for your role.
  • Daily bounties and double Shards on your first run of the day.

The Bleakhold raid

Blackwing Lair, rebuilt as a level 80 raid for fifteen players and tuned to be the hardest instance on the realm. Pyreclaw, Vyrelle, the Pale Hand, Ebonvyr and Scourgemaw stand between you and Blackwing, whose final encounter runs through nine phases.

It drops Tier 7.5, spec-specific sets for every class, and a handful of artifacts such as the Nethervein dagger and the Felreaver and Shadowreaver warglaives.

Tier 7.5 and Ascended

The gear rule is simple: Tier 7.5 is ten percent stronger than the matching Naxxramas 25 set, and Ascended is ten percent stronger than Tier 7.5. Ascended pieces are upgrades you earn from Tier 7.5 at Dorran in Dalaran.

Every class has sets per spec, each with its own set bonuses and its own look.

Emberdeep, Onyxia and Vorthal

  • Emberdeep turns Ragefire Chasm into a five-player level 80 dungeon.
  • Sarvessa waits in Onyxia's Lair as an extra boss once the lair opens.
  • Vorthal is a world boss for the whole realm to take down together.

The Monk and new races

The Monk uses energy and combo points, wears leather, dual-wields and has three talent trees of its own. Master Shang trains Monks next to every Dungeon Board, and Touch of Death and Zen Pilgrimage come with the class.

Three new races join the usual ten: Pandaren on both sides, the High Elf for the Alliance and the Fel Orc for the Horde. Any race can play any class.

Bleakhold Motors

The only car dealer in Azeroth sits in Ratchet. The Ferrari and the Skyline cost gold, the Bentley costs a lot of gold, and the Lamborghini is earned with Bleak Marks and a quest. The Bentley and the Skyline seat a passenger, and every car has a radio you can switch on and off.

New lands

The Isle of Giants, Morza Island and the Valley of Betrayal are full zones that sit beside the original world without changing it.

Looks and cosmetics

  • Transmogrification, with thousands of looks to collect.
  • Eleven sets of wings and the Holy and Void Dragonhawk mounts.
  • Reworked druid forms for every race.
  • Optional support for Project Reforged HD models, installed side by side with our patches.

How the realm runs

  • Cross-faction: group, queue and battle with anyone.
  • Progression: the realm opens on Naxxramas, the Obsidian Sanctum and the Eye of Eternity, with later content unlocking in phases.
  • Small-group friendly: dungeons and raids scale to your group size, outside of the Bleakhold raid.
  • Quality of life: area loot, 1v1 arena, duel resets everywhere and guild houses.
  • A real economy: no auction-house bot; custom vendors, Bleak Marks and profession upgrades make every hour of play count.
